The 10-Second Resume Check
Applied everywhere and heard nothing? Whoever opens your resume usually gives it a 10-second skim before deciding to read on. This free checklist shows what they look for, second by second, so you can fix it in one sitting.
- The 5 things a skim looks for, in the order they look
- Why you don't need a trade or 20 tickets, and the one ticket you do need
- Where your truck, loader, agi or water cart experience should sit
- Red flags that get a resume closed
- The agency call script I'd use. That's how I got in.

Your resume is one of a pile
Entry-level FIFO ads pull in a lot of applications. A recruiter, labour-hire coordinator or supervisor skims each one, often on a phone. If they can't see the role you want, your tickets, where you fly from and why you'd be safe and reliable, it's closed. Most good people get knocked out here, not because they're not good enough, but because the good stuff is on page 2.
Don't just mass-send it
Once your resume passes the check, ring the recruitment agencies, talk to a real person, tell them you're keen, then send your resume straight after that call. That's how I got in. The script is in the checklist.
Want it done for you? The $199 FIFO Resume Rewrite comes with your call script and follow-up email filled in.
